Top 5 Budget-Saving Wedding Ideas
Saving money when planning your wedding can seem like a tough task but there are a few good and simple ways to save money without sacrificing quality. This may seem simple, but at times we find ourselves going crazy worrying about the guest list, menu selections, seating, the honeymoon and ten million other things. These 5 simple things can save you hundreds maybe even thousands.
- Wedding dress- Consider going pre-owned. Many pre-owned dresses may have been used on a mannequin, worn by a model at a bridal show, or bought by a bride but never worn because it didn’t fit right or the wedding was called off.
- Wedding favors- When my husband & I got married we decided to do something close to our hearts; 2 of our grandparents were unable to attend our wedding because of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease so we donated to these foundations on their behalf. See our previous blog titled, “Help Others, While Helping Your Wedding Budget!”.
- Invitations- You can save a ton of money with Do-It-Yourself (DIY) wedding invitation kits or using an online service such as Invitation Consultants.
- Tuxes- Grooms can save alot of money by negotiating free or discounted tuxes for themselves, groomsmen and/or fathers. My husband was able to get his tux for free, along with a 10% discount on his groomsmen tuxes and a 20% discount on our father’s tux.
- Flowers and Centerpieces- There are a ton of ways to save money on these two items. The biggest way is to look at wholesalers.
