Sharing Affordable Wedding Planning Tips

Survey Said…Edible items FTW!

I recently asked family and friends to share some of their affordable wedding planning tips. Hands down the most popular response that I received was to make anything that could be thrown away, into an edible item. Favors, table arrangements and place cards can be transformed into an edible item that can be savored by guests instead of more traditional items that are sometimes discarded instead of treasured. 

Second to using edible items, was to make sure not to get frugal when it comes to the photographer. Many people that I spoke with told me stories of woe about not having enough photos or not having good photos. I’ll leave the selection of a good photographer to someone else to cover. I know food. Let’s talk about food.

There are so many options to choose from: personalized candy, coffee, cocktail mixes etc. I recently attended a baby shower where the favor was an Oreo cookie dipped in chocolate. Heaven! I can tell you that, if there would have been any extras left on the table I would have snapped them up. The homemade touch added an extra something special to the treat.

There are so many sites to choose from when it comes to personalizing your wedding items. One of my favorites, that always seems to be a hit is the personalized Hershey bar. Everyone loves Hershey right?
