Save on Wedding Limo Services

Wedding transportation is usually a necessity but at the same time, unfortunately, can also be somewhat expensive.  Here are a few planning tips to follow, to help you get to where you need to be without breaking your budget!

• When selecting your wedding vehicle, opt for the traditional 6-8 passenger limo versus the extravagant 18 passenger stretch limo.
• If your wedding party is too big, have your bridesmaids and groomsmen arrange their own transportation then rent the traditional limo or a sedan for just you and your spouse.
• Just as with your wedding venue, if you hold your wedding on an “off” day or month, such as a Sunday or in the middle of January, the rates will most likely be lower.
• If you don’t have your heart set on a particular vehicle, wait until the last minute to book.  If the limo company is not busy, they may be willing to negotiate the price to move their vehicles.
• Check to see if the limo company has an hourly or one-way rate, versus paying for an entire 4-6 hour package.    There’s no sense in paying for a driver to sit and wait. 
• Do without the extras.  There’s no need for the limo company to provide you with champagne, snacks and special colored napkins.  If you can’t do without, ask if you can supply your own or try negotiating the extras for free.
• Ask your wedding venue (or hotel where your guests are staying) if they provide any type of limo or shuttle service for free.  If not, see if they have any partner companies that may offer discounted rates.
• Keep an eye out for coupons in bridal magazines or at bridal shows, in your local papers or coupon books, or in your mail or email box.  You just never know!  It may even help to ask family and friends if they’ve run across any coupons that they aren’t using.
• Last but not least, always comparison shop!  Never go with the first company that you call, without checking others first.
