Knowledge Can Knock Down Costs of your Wedding Flowers!
Hello, I am today’s guest blogger, Deena Moran of
Driftwood Florist in Galloway, NJ.
A wedding is one of the most beautiful and special times of your life. Flowers will make your wedding day extra special!
There are many ways to save money when it comes to your wedding flowers, but one of the easiest ways is by choosing flowers that are in season. There can be a huge price difference when they are out of season. For example, the tulip is in season from December to April. If you want tulips for your wedding in February, I’m sure you can find them, however, you will be paying a premium price. If you aren’t familiar with the different flower types and their seasons, no worries. Your florist will know or you can search on the web.
Overall, when it comes to flowers, Roses, Calla Lilies and Orchids are more expensive than Carnations, Daisies and Alstroemeria. You can make equally beautiful pieces with the less expensive flowers or try mixing an expensive flower with a less expensive one. A tight muff of carnations, can mimic a hydrangea bouquet and is equally as nice, just lesser in price.
