How to Make Your Own Wedding Centerpieces!
Why Do-It-Yourself (DIY)?
1. Doing your own wedding arrangements can be a huge money-saver because you cut the expense of paying a florist for labor.
2. It is also the perfect way to personalize your wedding. You can make your own bouquets, centerpieces, corsages, and boutonnieres. A great way to get your guests to feel special (you made it just for them).
3. There is nothing like having bragging rights!
1. Select the flowers and color scheme and get the items you need…
• Floral container (vase)
• Floral foam
• Floral sheers or scissors
• Leaf shine finisher (optional)
2. Cut the stems, on all the flowers, on a diagonal and remove leaves and guard petals (outer petals) on roses.
3. Soak floral foam in luke-warm water.
4. Cut and shape the floral foam to fit the floral container of your choice.
5. Start arranging by using greenery to help you create a shape and then fill in the arrangement with focal flowers and fillers.
6. Continuously turn the arrangement to make sure all spots are filled.
7. Use a product like Leafshine to make the arrangement look finished.
8. Now, you have a beautiful wedding centerpiece that you made yourself and took only about ten minutes of your time! You can’t lose here!
