About a year and a half ago, Kristin Tischer of Weddings by Kristin, was busy planning her own wedding.  She spent much of her time DIY-ing creative projects to stretch her budget and give her wedding that personalized feel.  Her big day came and went faster than she realized – soon, she felt herself missing the craft projects that she had invested so much of her time and energy in.  From that situation, Weddings by Kristin was born.

Her company started with a simple, hand-painted “Thank You” parasol from her own wedding and slowly started to take off.  Within days of posting her first item on her new Etsy store, she had her first sale and was absolutely amazed that people would pay for the crafts she loved making!  From there, Weddings by Kristin has continuously grown, as designs have been added and new products have been created.

Now, one lucky bride will have the chance to win one of Kristin’s amazing ‘Thank You’ or ‘Just Married’ parasols! The winning bride will get to choose the color of the parasol and font style – all of the parasols are custom painted by Kristin and made specifically to meet the needs of each bride.  Kristin’s favorite part of the entire process is when the bride emails her after the wedding with a picture of the parasol in use!
