Pinterest is slowly taking over the world and since it first came out onto the scene, it’s found a happy home in the wedding industry.  Brides use it for inspiration of all kinds; from centerpiece ideas to foods to serve at the bridal shower.  Pinterest has certainly become a wonderful wedding hodge-podge and for you DIYers, it’s beyond thrilling to find scores of projects for your wedding.

If you’re like me and you would love some easy, fun, and free ways to do your hair (because you know no other styles besides down and a pony tail), Pinterest certainly comes through with tons of DIY hair ideas.  I’m not that hairstyle-literate (obviously), so you know that these following hairstyles are great examples of “quick and easy.”  Even if you’re a seasoned pro at effortlessly doing your hair, you’ll definitely appreciate these gorgeous wedding ‘dos.

Everyone loves the perfect wavy hairstyle; the kind that looks so simple and easy and it didn’t require more than 10 steps.  To get this style, simply wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and conditioner.  Run a wide-toothed comb or your fingers (either are safer on wet hair than a brush) to get out any tangles.  Once your hair is still moist (but not dripping), part your hair in two and create little hair buns on both sides of your head.  Wait for your hair to dry completely, take out your hair buns, and revel in your waves!  Put a little styling product in your hair to help your waves last longer for this perfect summer wedding hairstyle.

2. The Modern Pony Tailwedding-planning-tips

The pony tail has been a style that some experts say has been traced back to the 18th century.  Whenever the date of its inception, it has stood the test of time and is still such a chic style today.  So, if you have the hair length to do it, show up to your wedding with it!  I absolutely love this rendition.  I tried it myself and it was adorable.  The only thing you have to do is start out with moist hair, and apply a product to give your hair some texture.  To keep the hair in place while you’re styling, section your hair in two pieces, tie a knot, and you’re done!  Tease the “tail” if desired; it looks amazing either way!  You can certainly do as many knots as you like and to keep it withstanding your reception, make sure to set it with some long-lasting hairspray.

3. The Classic Chignon

There’s something to be said about an elegant hairstyle like the chignon.  It’s become an icon for many brides, as the perfect wedding hairstyle and yet, many cower when they see it because it can take so much time, patience, and bobby pins. Fortunately, this lovely chignon can be executed by yours truly.  That is how easy it is.  Simply section your hair and create a half pony tail (leave the space mentioned in the photo because that’s where you’re pulling your second pony tail).  Tease this pony tail and then take the rest of your hair and secure it in your second pony tail ensuring that you don’t also pull in the teased first pony tail.  Pull the second pony tail through the space you created near the top of your head and pull it out to your left.  Loop the pulled-out hair back into the bun you created and secure it with bobby pins and spray with hairspray.  Believe it or not, you’re done!
