Cheap Wedding Favor Favorites

Wedding favors … not necessary, but always a nice way to thank your guests for being there to help you celebrate your big day.  The average favor price per guest is approximately $2.50.  That can get pretty pricey, especially for something that will get thrown in a drawer or become a dust collector on a shelf.  That is, if your guest even remember to take it home.

The best way to get around spending a fortune on your favors, is to do something with candy. YUMMY!  It’s cheap, because you can buy it in bulk, yet it always seems to be a favor favorite.

Head over to your local candy shop, or look online for bulk or warehouse candy stores.  You can go colorful with Candy Sweet Tart Hearts or stick with a white candy such as Tiny White Mighty Mints.  You can find a 5lb bag of either at the Candy Warehouse for under $20.

After you make your candy selection, next you need to find a bag or box to hold the candy.  There are many options from cello bags to “take out” boxes, all that you can find in many colors with a variety of designs.  You can find a great deal at Oriental Trading Company. A set of 25 cello bags with a wedding dove print, and matching white satin ribbons are only $3.99.

This would fall in the do-it-yourself category, as it will take some time and effort on your part to buy the supplies, then assemble the favors but in the long run you will be spending less than $1 per guest!!
