Cut Costs Dramatically on your Wedding Centerpieces

Centerpieces can really add an elegant and beautiful touch to any room, but they can also be very costly.  My affordable wedding tip today, is easy and will cut cost dramatically!

Believe it or not, your local dollar store may become your best friend during your wedding planning.  Many dollar stores carry a variety of glassware, sea shells and/or colored glass gems.  There is no need for a huge, expensive centerpiece.  You can always create a magical but inexpensive centerpiece, just by using 3 different sized vases with colored stones in the bottoms with one floating candle or flower.

If you need more items, than what is on the shelf, ask one of the store employees if there is anything else in the back or if they can special order more for you.  If not, you can always find these items at your local craft store such as Michael’s or A.C. Moore.  Keep an eye out for coupons!

If you aren’t crafty and/or you don’t have the time to assemble the entire centerpiece, buy all or some of the items and provide them to your florist.  That will cut the mark up costs on the items, leaving you only to pay for labor.
