I’m so happy to be a part of this exciting and special time in your life. Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful, but also really fun if you have the right resources.

27 DRESSES

Have you ever seen that movie? I swear that movie was based on my life at age 25; always a bridesmaid, never a bride. During my early-mid 20’s (and even since then) I had been to and planned so many bridal shower, bachelorette parties and weddings that I began to think that I could do it in my sleep.

MY TURN

Finally, at the age of 27, I met my Prince. He happened to be my next door neighbor. I know…convenient…we’ve heard all of the jokes but we hit it off right away. We fell in love, eventually moved in together, and then…YES! We got engaged!! It was finally my turn to be the Bride!!

UGH…THE PLANNING

It wasn’t the planning that was the difficult part. If you’ve read my “About Me” page, you already know that I have plenty of experience planning events. The hard part was trying to plan my dream wedding without spending a fortune. You would think that in today’s economy most venues and vendors would be running specials, or have lowered their prices. Not so much!

GETTING THE MOST FOR MY MONEY

Even if you are getting monetary help with your wedding, it’s always great to get a deal. During my wedding planning, I did a lot of research (mostly on the internet). There are a TON of wedding sites out there. There are even sites out there that give you tips on planning an “affordable” or “inexpensive” wedding. The problem I found was that it wasn’t all in one place. I would find a site on how to plan an affordable wedding in Chicago or Las Vegas, and then I would find a site on affordable wedding flowers or invitations.

ALL IN ONE PLACE

Just in my wedding planning experience alone, I know that it’s very easy to feel overwhelmed and confused with information overload. My goal with this blog site, is to create a centralized location for anyone involved in planning a wedding (whether that be the bride-to-be, bridesmaid, mother-of-the-bride or groom etc.) with tips, ideas and tricks on how to plan a beautiful but affordable wedding.

WHO WILL YOU BE HEARING FROM

I will be writing blogs based on my experience and feedback, but you will also be hearing from vendors and venues around the U.S. on all aspects of weddings: dresses, flowers, invitations… you name it! All of my blogs will be from previous bride-to-be’s and/or from industry experts, so I hope you enjoy what you read and find it helpful.
